MLB HR props: Jazz playing a happy home run tune

Boom x2! Yordan Alvarez went yard not once, but twice to cash one of our home run bets for the second straight day. If only someone could've predicted it was a great spot for him to belt multiple home runs.

It'll be hard to follow up that prediction, but we'll do our best with three more home run props for Thursday's MLB slate.

Jazz Chisholm (+560 FanDuel)

Our good friend Lance Lynn is back for another season, and we couldn't be more thankful. The veteran starter gave up a league-high 48 home runs last season, while no other pitcher in MLB gave up more than 41. Let's keep the fade train rolling into 2024.

For Thursday's game, we're rolling with Jazz Chisholm. The fiery outfielder was second on the Miami Marlins with 19 home runs last season, and 17 came off right-handed pitching. Chisholm has faced Lynn only three times, but he has two hits and a home run in those three at-bats. This is a great price and an even better matchup.

Willson Contreras (+460 FD)

Thursday night's game between the Marlins and Cardinals features the only helping wind of the MLB slate. The wind will be blowing out to right field at Busch Stadium, so we're doubling up on home run props for this matchup.

Willson Contreras already has two homers in just 19 at-bats this season. He also led the Cardinals in batting average (.296) and slugging percentage (.537) against left-handed pitching last year, and Marlins lefty Ryan Weathers has allowed a 4.6 percent home run rate in his career.

Luis Robert (+470 FD)

Luis Robert ranked ninth in MLB last season with 38 home runs, so he wasn't available at nearly 5/1 very often. His price is so high on Thursday night because the wind will be blowing in from left field at Kauffman Stadium, but if anyone can power a baseball through a strong wind, it's Robert.

Kansas City Royals starter Seth Lugo allowed a career-high 19 home runs last year, and KC's bullpen has the worst ERA in the league to start the season. We'll take Robert at this price any day of the week.
